Extendable Range Phone Systems

BEAVERTON, Ore., August 31, 2009 – Communication is now easier for small businesses with big spaces to cover, thanks to the new AT&T small business phone system. Advanced American Telephones, which manufactures AT&T-branded telephones under a license agreement with AT&T Intellectual Property, today announced the availability of the SB67118, the only small business phone system in the United States to feature optional DECT 6.0 repeaters that extend talk range up to 2,940 feet.

Ideal for use in multi-level buildings, warehouses, restaurants, distribution centers, farms, manufacturing plants and other similar facilities, the AT&T SB67118 helps employees communicate faster, more efficiently and cost-effectively. Available online at www.telephones.att.com, through distributors nationwide such as Ingram Micro, Jenne Distributors and Teledynamics, and at other retail locations, the SB67118 expands the growing line of AT&T SMB telephony solutions.

Extended Range for Larger Facilities For added reach and flexibility to support business operations, users can add optional repeaters featuring exclusive DECT 6.0 technology to AT&T SB67118 handsets, enabling callers to roam up to 2,940 feet away from the base station. Each individual repeater (SB67128; sold separately) extends the range of the cordless handset by approximately 980 feet and does not require a wired connection to the base – only an AC outlet for power.

As employees take calls throughout the workplace, active calls are handed off and on from base to repeaters for seamless communication. The SB67118 system also can pair with the AT&T TL7600 cordless headset to provide hands-free mobility, ideal for helping employees be more productive while on the job.

Designed to Improve Employee Communication The new AT&T small business phone system also helps increase productivity with Push-to-Talk Intercom, call transfer and three-way conferencing features. The SB67118 system enhances business communications by supporting four lines with Automated Attendant and up to 10 DECT 6.0 cordless handsets with individual voicemail for each extension – more than any competing solution. Each extension provides individual voicemail and message-waiting indication, as well as caller ID and call waiting information on a large, lighted display.

A Customizable Solution with the Bottom Line in Mind At $499.95, the SB67118 is a scalable solution that offers the clarity and quality of DECT 6.0 technology along with enhanced features, such as Auto-Attendant, individual voicemail, and Push-to-Talk Intercom.

"Current small business systems either offer long range with fewer features, or full features but limited range -- the AT&T SB67118 system offers the complete package with flexibility to tailor the system to specific business settings," said Matt Ramage, senior vice president, product management, Advanced American Telephones. "Businesses that simply need more lines and options for mobility don't have to pay a premium for range they don't need. Yet, businesses that need extended range can customize their SB67118 system with repeaters to accommodate communications throughout their facilities."
